Celebrating 15 Years of Hart & Hunter

What’s Happened and What’s to Come…

Hello wine lovers!

Can you believe it? Hart & Hunter is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year! It feels like just yesterday we were crushing our first Semillon grapes and bottling our very first wines – the Single Vineyard Oakey Creek Semillon and Ablington Shiraz. It’s been an incredible journey, full of passion, hard work, and heaps of fun along the way.

A Look Back at Our Journey

When we started Hart & Hunter, we had a simple goal: to create amazing local wines that we would love to drink and enjoy with our friends. We’ve always been driven by a love for exceptional wine and the desire to share that with others. From our humble beginnings as an online business, working for other local producers, we’ve come a long way.

Opening our cellar door was a game-changer. It gave us a space to welcome wine enthusiasts from near and far, share our story, and of course, pour a few glasses of our favourite wines. Over the years, we’ve faced our share of challenges and blessings – from unpredictable weather, finding the perfect winery to move into, to a growing family and the madness of the pandemic. But through it all, we’ve had fun, and our passion for winemaking has only deepened. Now, in 2024, we’re ready for even more exciting adventures.

The Celebrations So Far

This year has been a whirlwind of wonderful events, and we’re just getting started! Here’s a sneak peek at what’s been happening:

Una Volta Dinner
An unforgettable evening of fantastic food and wine pairings. We loved seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new friends who share our love for great wine and good times.

Steersons Dinner
What a night! Combining our wines with delicious seafood and top-notch steaks at Steerson Steakhouse was a dream come true. The intimate setting made it extra special, and we can’t wait to do it again.

Truffle and Vines
Terrigal Wholefoods’ Truffle Dinner was an evening to remember. Chef David Lee’s creations, paired with our wines, were a match made in heaven. The standout? The Risotto of Acquerello Carnaroli rice! AMAZING!

The Blue Door Dinner
We had an amazing time at The Blue Door in Surry Hills. The sustainable, delicious food and the intimate setting made it a truly unique experience. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

What’s Coming Up

We’ve got plenty more in store for the rest of the year. Here’s a taste of what’s to come:

Garfish Crows Nest Dinner
Seafood lovers, mark your calendars for Thursday, 15th August. We’re teaming up with Garfish Restaurant Crows Nest for an intimate dining experience featuring a five-course seafood menu paired with our favourite museum wines and current vintages. Secure your spot – it’s going to be a night to remember.

Annual Long Lunch
Our Spring Long Lunch on Saturday, 14th September, is the highlight of our year. Held at our beautiful cellar door in the Hunter Valley, this event features a five-course meal cooked on-site, using local ingredients, and of course, plenty of Hart & Hunter wines. Whether you’re a member or bringing along friends, it’s an afternoon of great food, great wine, and even better company. 

Special Monthly Tastings
Starting this month, we’re introducing special monthly tastings at our cellar door. Each month, we’ll feature a different selection of wines, including some rare museum wines you won’t want to miss. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore our range and find new favourites. And for those who want to take a piece of Hart & Hunter home, we’ll have special packs available for purchase.
